Additional Information:	Lifting and moving bariatric patients requires a team approach, specialized equipment (hoists, slings, wide stretchers, air-assisted devices, electric stretchers), and clear communication to ensure patient dignity and caregiver safety, focusing on minimizing manual lifting, using proper body mechanics (bend knees, straight back, legs), and assessing patient mobility and comfort constantly to prevent injuries and provide respectful care. OBTEMS Personnel will be trained in these procedures focusing on patient care , dignity, proper mechanics, and specialized stretchers used to facilitate this task. all personnel will be familiar with all equipment in the ambulance from the Cardiac Science AED, other Bariatric Adjuncts (stair chair, reeves, and longboard), operation of the mechanical hoist on board the ambulance.
