| Additional Information: | EMS RESPONSE TO THE LARGE SCALE INCIDENT - AWARENESS This course was developed by the Incident Support and Operational Planning Unit (ISOP), an area of responsibility within the former UMDNJ Center for BioDefense. This entry-level program prepares the Emergency Medical Services provider or First Responder for response to a "high profile" or large-scale incident. Topics to be covered include recognizing and preparing for the large-scale incident, scene safety, triage tags, sorting of the multiple casualties, the S.T.A.R.T. system, and treatment and transport of the injured. Audience: All EMS First Responders, new and experienced EMTs, Senior Members, Crew Chiefs, Paramedics and field Nurses, front-line supervisors and officers, and new members of an EMS Incident Management Support Team. |
